During my time as a nurse at the UI Health Craniofacial Center, I got to work very closely with the Face the Future Board Members with their mission to support the families with children born with craniofacial differences. I was privileged to help with the foundation sponsored family events such as summer picnics, Christmas parties, baseball outings, the confidence project, and the Adrienne L. Green scholarship program. These family events helped the children feel connected to the craniofacial center where they get the best multidisciplinary care to treat their craniofacial difference.
I’m a retired bilingual nurse with more than 40 years of experience working with families and children with a strong focus in pediatrics. I enjoy volunteering for my local school and doing my crafts.
