I have always been drawn to organizations that work with youth and the underserved. Through organizations like Special Olympics and Make a Wish, and now Face the Future, I have been able to see firsthand the difference one can bring to the life of a child at some most critical stages of their life. I am looking forward to the possibilities of increasing the number of lives we can touch each year.
When I toured University of Illinois Craniofacial Center, I enjoyed becoming educated on all of the tools they use to deliver patient care. I am excited about Face the Future's support to help the Center orchestrate new goals and projects to the benefit of even more lives.
The golden rule - of do unto others as you would have them do unto you - has always helped guide me and still resonates till this day. It was one of the first things I remember learning and really understanding what it meant. It’s as simple as it gets and is just right all around, plus it builds good Karma.
Bryon began his dedicated path of community service and social activism in high school, growing up in the cornfields of central Illinois where he spent 5 years with the YMCA. Moving on through college and early adulthood he continued to work with organizations closest to his heart. After studying Business Management and Management information systems at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Bryon moved to Chicago.
In 2007, he started his General Contracting Business that has
been operating for almost 15 years. Though his business and organizational ties Bryon has found ways to build and formulate relationship that continue to prosper and forge new possibilities. “My clients become like my family, when you and your family go through a significant change like remodeling a house and living through that you need a trusted soul to guide your decisions and expectations through till the end.” Many of these relationships carry on for years and lead to future projects or projects for the client’s friends and family. He never thought that having his own business would lead to such deep relations with clientele but it’s one of the most rewarding parts of the business.
Bryon is a proud Chicagoan with his dog Bailey who is ever present in his daily life keeping stress low and belly rubs high.
