Erin Mcginn

When Erin first began working with Dr. Mimis Cohen in the Division of Plastic Surgery in 2006 she learned very quickly that the patients at the Craniofacial Center were his pride and joy, and that no child would be turned away- regardless of their financial circumstances. Throughout the years she witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact on the children and their families thanks to the tireless work of the staff and faculty at the Center. Erin firmly believe in Nelson Mandela’s idea that “The true character of a society is revealed in how it treats its children.”  She continues to be inspired by the transformative care of these incredible healthcare providers who have dedicated their careers to making the future brighter for so many children.  

It is her privilege to serve on the board to support the mission of Face the Future Foundation and ensure that the Craniofacial Center may continue to provide quality care for all of its patients.

Erin McGinn is an attorney whose experience is focused on disability rights and restorative justice.  Before law school, Erin worked for over a decade in healthcare administration, including insurance and financial services, graduate medical education, and clinical trials.  Regular interactions with risk management departments and law firms, along with advocating for patient’s healthcare needs, helped pique her interest in pursuing an alternative career in the legal profession. Erin recently graduated with a JD from UIC School of Law and holds a BS in Community Health Education from Illinois State University.  

Erin lives in Chicago with her husband and son.  She enjoys spending time with friends and family listening to live music, attending Cubs games, and traveling.
