I truly believe that all children deserve to feel included, accepted and that they belong. Every child deserves to feel the confidence in themselves to achieve any goal they have.
I am continually impressed by University of Illinois Craniofacial Center and the breadth of services available to the patients not only from a physical standpoint, but to be able to work with children beyond what can be seen. That is something that comes from the incredible staff at the center working with the kids and is palpable as soon as you enter The Center.
I have been happy to be a part of Face the Future's Associates Board since 2013 and have served as Vice President of the Associates Board from 2018-2020.
I personally believe that everyone should feel like they belong, and I think that Brene Brown said it best: "Belonging is the innate human desire to be part of something larger than us."
