Rain or Shine, a Day to Remember!

Not even the rain could stop the fun! On Saturday, July 19th, Face the Future Foundation hosted its annual Summer Picnic for the patients, families, and clinicians of the UI Health Craniofacial Center (CFC).

Though the day began with clouds and drizzle over Lincoln Park, the skies cleared, and the sun made a grand appearance—setting the stage for an unforgettable afternoon.

The park buzzed with joy as families enjoyed yard games, bounce houses, face painting, live illustrations, hot dogs, sweet treats, and generous gift-giving. Every child went home with a brand-new backpack filled with school supplies—ready to start the school year with confidence and excitement.

A special moment during the event was the presentation of the Adrienne L. Green Scholarship to this year’s recipient, Jazlyn Chiquito. Jazlyn was awarded a well-deserved $5,000 scholarship to support her higher education journey.

Laughter and smiles filled the air, echoing the strength and spirit of our incredible CFC community.

The evening was a throw back to one of the Associate Board events. Multiple courts were reserved for the amateurs and pros to show off their skills. 

Guests enjoyed an array of delicious cuisine and drinks as they cheered along others slicing, chopping, smashing, and serving in games of pickleball. It was a night of great energy and fun for a great cause. 

On Saturday, December 7th, Face the Future Foundation hosted its annual Holiday Party for the patients of UI Health Craniofacial Center. More than 300 patients and families attended the festive event. The event was full of cheer as attendees decorated cookies, made crafts, got their faces painted and took pictures with Santa.  Every child received two gifts and parents had an opportunity to receive gifts as well. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff that made this an event to remember.

Face the Future Foundation wishes everyone  the Happiest of Holidays!

Face the Future Foundation partnered with Ralph Lauren on Michigan Avenue for their annual "Shop Til You Drop!" event, held on November 9-10 2043. Fifteen percent of full-price, pre-taxed purchases made by customers shopping on behalf of Face the Future were donated, raising more than $10,000 to support The UI Health Craniofacial Center. Face the Future believes that “every child with craniofacial differences can live a confident, joyful and fulfilling life”. 

WOW!!! What an incredible evening of giving, celebration, and immense joy!

On Thursday, October 24th, approximately three hundred guests gathered together at the Casino Club downtown Chicago, to celebrate UI Health’s Craniofacial Center. This event allowed all participants to take part in the many activities of the  Diamond Jubilee, celebrating 75 years of world-class excellence in patient care at UI Health Craniofacial Center!  The energy, the mission, and the community will launch the Center  forward toward the next 75 years as we support an incredible team of excellence and their dedication and commitment to their patients and families.
