Sophie's passion for serving youth led her to partner with Face the Future Foundation in 2020. Her belief that no one should be turned away for healthcare needs because of the lack of ability to pay, combined with her experience in fundraising has proven to be both a blessing and great opportunity for her to serve this great cause. In touring University of Illinois Craniofacial Center, she was most impressed by the Psychology wing of the clinic. So much time is spent on healing physical needs of children with craniofacial anomalies, and often the mental needs are overlooked. At The Center, each patient has the opportunity to talk about their feelings and problems and gain insight and guidance on how to manage the effect of their experience on their day-to-day lives. This process helps to heal each patient from the inside out. What a remarkable achievement!
