I have been at University of Illinois Craniofacial Center many times and am always inspired by the dedication and compassion of the physicians and staff. Since a patient might have close to twenty surgeries or more before they turn 18 years old, the Staff at The Center becomes like a second family.
When I began working for FFF, the goal of the Board was to raise $3,000,000 to rebuild The Center. The dedication and determination of the Board Members to build a better Center for the patients was overwhelming. Within 3 years they raised $1.5 million, and the University matched it. The Center has continued to thrive and help thousands of patients a year to overcome their craniofacial differences, build confidence in themselves, and strive for a bright future. I have seen patients come to The Center as babies and continue to graduate from college. This brings me the most joy and satisfaction and the reason I am still with FFF.
